Who Am I?

I am a Senior Data and Applied Scientist at Microsoft, building efficient large-scale retrieval models that serve billions of queries. My work spans information retrieval, computational linguistics, and computer vision.

I earned my Ph.D. from IIT Delhi in 2024 as a Google Ph.D. Fellow, advised by Dr. Manik Varma and Dr. Sumeet Agarwal. During my Ph.D., I also spent time at Google Research India and Microsoft Research. Previously, I completed my M.S. (Research) from IIT Delhi and my B.Tech from IIT Roorkee, where I also worked on Intelligent Transportation Systems at IIT Madras with Dr. Gitakrishnan Ramadurai.

Research interests: information retrieval, large-scale training, efficient retrieval models, computer vision, computational linguistics, extreme classification.

Beyond work: I enjoy classical music and opera, reading about quantum physics (the more I read, the less I understand), following space exploration efforts, and staying active through boxing, trekking, and coding side projects.
